Tab A: script for analyzing an article or news story
1 - Daily or weekly name chosen date.
2-In that section, you see the news? International eg, supplements, first page.
3-Analyze the holder: What is the font size? Does your content match?
4-Make a brief summary its contents, taking that you must answer questions
- What happened?
- Who is he or the actors or subjects?
- When happened?
- Where's happened?
- How, how?
- Why? What was the cause or origin?
5 - The chosen article focuses on the facts only, or is the context, or is there a deeper research on the subject, its causes and so on.
6 - What vocabulary is used in the news? Give examples of exaggerated and racist , technical vocabulary and so on.
7-Points, if any, expressions which appear who writes reviews.
8-Analyzes the sources of the story: Do you see signs of a journalist, or belong to an agency (eg AP, ANSA). If so, find out where they originated.
9-Scans image of the paper:
a- Describe everything you see in the image
b- What is the relationship between text and image? What percentage occupied by each one? Is the picture illustrates the story or is the star in you?
